Pride Fest Parade Coordinator

Positions Available: 1

Event Date: April 17, 2027

Reports To: Pride Fest Event Director / Planning Committee


About the Role

We're looking for an organized, enthusiastic, and community-minded individual to coordinate the Pride Fest 2027 Parade. This role helps create one of the most exciting and visible moments of the festival.


What this Position Entails

• Recruit Parade Participants: Reach out to community organizations, businesses, sponsors, performers, and individuals.

• Coordinate with Entertainment: Work closely with the Entertainment Coordinator to incorporate performers and entertainment groups into the parade.

• Organize Parade Lineup: Develop the parade order and staging plan.

• Communicate with Participants: Serve as the primary contact for parade participants.

• Manage Check-In and Staging: Coordinate participant arrival and lineup.

• Ensure Safety and Compliance: Work with leadership and volunteers to maintain safety.

• Collaborate with Other Committees: Coordinate with Sponsorship, Marketing, Volunteer, and Entertainment teams.

• Coordinate Volunteer Needs: Work closely with the Volunteer Coordinator to identify staffing needs for the parade. Communicate the number of volunteers required, their responsibilities, shift times, and any special skills needed. Ensure adequate volunteer coverage for participant check-in, staging, parade operations, crowd assistance, and breakdown.

• Oversee Day-Of Operations: Manage staging, participant organization, and parade execution.

Time Commitment

• Leading Up to the Event: Participant outreach, planning, and coordination.

• Event Day (April 17, 2027): Full availability required.

• Volunteer Planning: Provide volunteer staffing needs to the Volunteer Coordinator in advance of the event and assist with volunteer direction for parade operations.

• Attend all meetings – We work together to come up with dates that work for everyone.
