What is the Sanctuary?We are a non-profit LGBTQ+ Community Organization that is ran by volunteers and currently fundraising to establish a center where activities, events, and gatherings may be hosted.

Where is the Sanctuary located?The Sanctuary doesn't have a physical location yet, but we primarily operate in St. Lucie County. We serve LGBTQ+ individuals that live in and visit the Treasure Coast area by providing opportunities for social gatherings and offering unique events at LGBTQ+ friendly and allied businesses.

How can I get involved with the Sanctuary?Join the Sanctuary's Facebook Group to immediately become a part of our membership. It's FREE to join and you'll instantly be connected to our 1,000+ members. After joining online, come out to any of our Meet & Greets or co-sponsored mixers. Meet our members and learn more about our community and its needs to determine how you'd like to get more involved.

What volunteer opportunities exist at the Sanctuary?We are always seeking volunteers to help us provide opportunities, exceptional experiences, and staff events. We need volunteers of all ages and skill levels to help us on our mission of enhancing our community's quality of life and experiences. Just moved here, where can I meet new people?The Treasure Coast (Indian River, St. Lucie, and Martin Counties) no longer has an exclusive LGBTQ+ bar or establishment, however, the community is strong and growing. Along with Pride of the Treasure Coast, Treasure Coast Bowling Club, and PFLAG of Stuart – our partner LGBTQ+ organizations – we offer social gatherings and events at various local LGBTQ+ Friendly establishments. To join us and meet new friends in the area, go to our EXPERIENCES page to find an experience that you'd like to participate in to meet like-minded individuals.

Is there a schedule of upcoming meeting and events?All of our events are divided into (6) types of experiences, located on our EXPERIENCES page. Depending on the type of experience you'd like to be a part of, each section showcases the next upcoming event. Some experiences are free, while others require a financial donation for participation. How do I become a vendor for Sanctuary events?First, join our email list. Second, when a new event or experience that requires vendor participation is announced, we will make a vendor packet available online for download. Vendors must self-identify at minimum as *LGBTQ+ Friendly in order to participate in Sanctuary events or experiences.

How do I get listed on the Community Resource Directory?Any business or organization that serves the LGBTQ+ community can be listed in our directory. To be listed, fill out this form. At a minimum, businesses and organizations must self-identify as *LGBTQ+ Friendly to be listed and remain listed.

I am a social worker seeking LGBTQ+ resources, how can I find them?Our RESOURCES navigation tab will take you our Community Resource Directory. The Directory is updated weekly as businesses and organizations join our membership or learn about the Sanctuary and the opportunities we provide to our membership. If you know of a business or organization that is LGBTQ+ Friendly and not currently listed in our directory, please forward them this form. Help us grow our directory for the benefit of the entire Treasure Coast LGBTQ+ Community.
